What We Do
WIPPS enhances the civic life of communities in Wisconsin by developing future leaders, educating and engaging citizens and addressing community needs. WIPPS works with citizens and communities to address local, state and national public policy issues that matter. We do this by organizing and facilitating conferences and workshops, panels and lectures, candidate forums, public dialogue and deliberation events, original research projects, and student internship and service opportunities.
Develop Future Leaders
Building a healthy democracy takes time and energy – and we can only achieve this with the help of young people who are civically engaged and care about helping others.
Educate and Engage Citizens
Tackling tough issues can be tricky. WIPPS aims to cut through the jargon, making tough topics easier to understand.
