Voices of Democracy

How do we solve the ever-rising national debt? Is health care a right or a privilege? Can civility and compromise return to our political process? It’s these questions and more that WIPPS addresses in our programs, conferences and forums.

To fulfill our mission of addressing public needs that arise from topical issues and to promote public scholarship and student engagement in the community, WIPPS holds a wide variety of public programs and events of local, statewide and national interest.

WIPPS also collaborates on other public programs and events with a wide range of partners, such as: the Wisconsin Humanities Council; Wisconsin Campus Compact; the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction; the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters; Kids Voting USA, and other agencies and organizations.

We also partner with the Kettering Foundation, a research organization in Dayton, Ohio to present wide array of public deliberation events.
