Neamat Nojumi

Dr. Neamat Nojumi has extended academic and policy analysis experiences on conflict transformation, international security, private sector development, globalization and democratization. He is the managing editor of The Sentinel Post.org and affiliated with a global network of scholars and practitioners. He talked at the European Council for Foreign Relations, the American and German Business Associations, Press Club, Chatham House and also briefed the European governments on his research and perspectives.

Nojumi worked as a Senior Advisor with the U.S. government, and NATO as well as with non-governmental organizations including the United Nations, United States Institute of Peace (USIP), and the European Institute of Peace (EIP). As a professor at George Mason University, he has facilitated a Transnational Dialogue for Non-Violence participated by dozens of institutions and internationally respected figures from around the world. Nojumi’s current research interest is on The Question of Transatlantic Relations’ Role in the 21st Century International Order. In the last two decades, Dr. Nojumi has presented his research and field studies on the role of economic interdependency in regional security and the role of conflict transformation programs as a risk-management system within private and public institutions to diverse policy and scholarly communities in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, South, Central and Southeast Asia.

Nojumi is the author of number of books, and policy papers. He obtained a BA in American Politics and Governance from Yale University and West Hartford University, Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University, and PhD in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University. He worked as a research fellow at Harvard University’s Law School, and a visiting scholar at the Boston University’s School of Global Studies. Nojumi is the recipient of personal letters, certificates of achievements from several leaders in the U.S. and UK governments as well as those representing non-governmental agencies. Dr. Nojumi appeared on major TV networks such as ABC Nightline, NBC Dateline, Fox News, Voice of America, New England Cable News, WGBH, Channel Four, Five, Seven and WB56. He also appeared on the Japan National Television, Broadcasting Company from Tokyo, Canada Broadcasting Company (CBC), British Broadcasting Company (BBC). Dr. Nojumi was also interviewed by dozens of national and international radio and mainstream papers in the United States, Europe, Turkey, India and other countries.
