Donor spotlight: New sponsors for Public Issues Series
Thanks to the generosity of two Wausau benefactors, WIPPS has secured funding for our popular Public Issues Series for the next three years.
Dean Dietrich, long-time attorney with Ruder Ware in Wausau, has expertise in labor relations and employment law, with extensive experience representing employers in collective bargaining and proceedings before state and federal agencies. He also works with municipalities and local government on municipal law and compliance with state statutes. Dean serves on the boards of Wisconsin Public Radio, Marathon County Start Right Program, Marathon County Early Years Coalition and also works with the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association.
Kevin Hermening is managing partner of Hermening Financial Group, LLC, a comprehensive financial planning, tax planning and investment management firm. An accomplished public speaker, he has spoken to more than 3,000 audiences nationwide since 1981. Hermening often discusses his experiences as the youngest of the 52 Americans held hostage at the U.S. Embassy in Iran from 1979–1981. He is the recipient of the U.S. State Department’s Award for Valor and received the Prisoner of War Medal and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
Since 2012, the Public Issues Series has presented diverse speakers on a variety of topics – from the school voucher program, health care reform and income gap disparities to the impact of big money in elections.
WIPPS is grateful to these generous supporters as we continue to work together to discuss issues that matter to the public. Watch our website and upcoming emails for details on the next Public Issues Series.
