Public Dialogue: Financial Wellness Conference-An Asset Builders Event

Learning more about how to achieve personal financial wellness is the goal of a program that will be presented by Asset Builders from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, at John Muir Middle School, Wausau.

The 9th annual Wausau Financial Wellness Conference offers affordable, high-quality and unbiased financial education in a fun and inspirational setting. The information taught at the conference can have an immediate and positive “pocketbook” impact and can set participants up to achieve higher income and net worth over the long term.

Adult participants can chose from 18 separate classroom workshops held at three blocks of time. Age-appropriate classes will also be conducted for students, and free child care is included with the modest admission charge. The conference also features information tables staffed by financial institutions and community service organizations, the opportunity to obtain a credit report with credit score, and time for participants to discuss their individual credit report with knowledgeable experts.

New this year: Financial planners who can answer general financial planning questions.  There will also be MyMoneyCheckUp, an online tool that gives an overall assessment of a consumer’s financial health.
