Get Out The Vote

College students getting out the voteWIPPS and UW-Marathon County Student Government, in partnership with Wisconsin Campus Compact, are holding a series of debate watching events for students leading up to the presidential election. They are part of a Get Out The Vote (GOTV) initiative to get people engaged in the upcoming general election.

The first debate party will be on October 4, from 7:30-9:30 p.m., in the Terrace Room at UW-Marathon County in Wausau. Attendees will be able to view live streaming of the vice-presidential debate on a large projection screen.

Vice-presidential candidates, Republican Mike Pence and Democrat Tim Kaine, will debate at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia.

CBSN anchor Elaine Quijano will moderate the debate, with the candidates covering topics in nine segments of 10 minutes each.
