Public Issues Series: Back to the Future? [Paul Carver]

Is Congress as an institution broken? Or is it the people who run it? What makes a successful Congress – and why is the 111th seen as one of the best Congresses in history?

WIPPS Senior Fellow and congressional scholar Paul Carver will address these questions and more on Tuesday, August, 25, 5:30-6:30 p.m., at the UW Center for Civic Engagement, (Sonnentag Room) in Wausau.

“Back to the Future? Is Another Great Congress Possible?” is part of the 2015 Public Issues Series sponsored by the Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service and UW-Marathon County.

This event is free to the public. The talk will include time for a Q&A. While not required, your RSVP by August 20 will be appreciated. Click here to register.

After the program, attendees are invited to a WIPPS fundraiser dinner with Paul Carver – starting at 7 p.m. at Nueske’s At Gulliver’s Landing in Rib Mountain. Click here for details and to RSVP.
