Registration ends soon: Deliberative Inquiry Workshop
The Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service and the University of Wisconsin–Madison Division of Extension are partnering to hold a three-part workshop offering training in public deliberation and the deliberative inquiry process. Registration ends December 7 at 11:59 p.m.
Held Dec. 11, 2025, and Jan. 13 and 27, 2026, the workshop will teach participants how to engage communities in structured, civil dialogue to deepen understanding, inform community health assessments and improvement plans, and support collective action. Two sessions will take place in person at the UW–Stevens Point at Wausau Center for Civic Engagement, and one session will be held virtually.
Public trust in government, public health, and civic institutions has declined, contributing to disengagement and hindering progress on community health. Deliberative inquiry offers a way to rebuild civic connection, encouraging constructive dialogue, identifying shared values, and fostering collaborative action to improve health and well-being.
Registration is required and space is limited. The registration fee of $150 includes lunch for both in-person sessions. Registration ends December 7 at 11:59 p.m. Learn more and register here.
