Washington Seminar Application Deadline Extended
The deadline to apply for the 2023 Washington Seminar has been extended to March 1, 2023. This study away program offers students a unique opportunity to see public policy first-hand in Madison and Washington, D.C., from May 30 to June 17, 2023.

Students from all majors are invited to take this hands-on course exploring areas such as the environment, energy, health, the economy, and social justice issues. Students will earn three credits through UW Milwaukee College of General Studies that are easily transferable throughout the UW System.
Participants will have the opportunity to meet with state and national legislators, lobbyists, media representatives, executive branch appointees and nonprofit organization leaders. Visits with policy influencers are tailored to reflect the research and career interests of students.

The program cost of $3,185 includes airfare, housing, a Metro pass, Potomac cruise, visit to Mt. Vernon, and one meal per day. Scholarships are also available for students with financial need. Applications are due March 1.
