What Happened to Economic Opportunity in Wisconsin? [Doctor Robert Kraig]
Wisconsin was once a leading manufacturing state, employing thousands in good-paying jobs. What happened to this economic model? A leading strategist in Wisconsin’s progressive movement will discuss what became of our state’s economic opportunity, and why the American dream is slipping away.
Dr. Robert Kraig, state executive director of Citizen Action, will speak on, “What Happened to Economic Opportunity in Wisconsin?” from 6-7:30 p.m. on February 18 at the UW Center for Civic Engagement, 625 Stewart Ave., Wausau.
Over the past 16 years, Dr. Kraig has been a major player in the Wisconsin public policy arena. He is well known for developing innovative approaches to strategic communication and issue campaign design and implementation. A frequent contributor to Wisconsin media on health care and economic issues, he has also appeared on MSNBC, Fox News, Democracy Now and many syndicated radio programs.
