WIPPS Announces Andy Johnson as Rural Outreach and Support Policy Fellow
WIPPS is pleased to welcome Andy Johnson to the team as a Rural Outreach and Support Policy Fellow.
Johnson is currently a consultant working with a diverse group of agricultural producers, technology developers, local Town and Village officials, and governmental agencies on issues of community development, resource stewardship, regulatory compliance, and rural planning.
After 32 years of working in local government to develop and implement policies and programs concerning land use and resource protection, he now focuses on local efforts to improve community engagement, build non-traditional partnerships, and improve local leadership.
As a fellow, he would like to focus on understanding the unique cultural perspectives of rural residents and institutions. With increased appreciation for their perspectives and communication preferences, he would like to support efforts to better serve their needs.
