Circles of Faith Series
Wausau Daily Herald: Wausau-area residents are invited to discuss faith and interfaith relations at a series of dialogues starting this weekend.
Circles of Faith attendees will have a chance to share personal experiences, stories and faith traditions. The series is intended as an opportunity for people to learn about other cultures and discover common ground among different religions.
Trained facilitators and religious leaders will lead discussions of the following themes in small groups before a larger group dialogue:
- Feb. 11: Describe an experience with religion that changed you.
- March 11 – Tell a story about a time when you felt misunderstood or misrepresented because of perceptions of your beliefs.
- April 15 – Tell a story about a positive experience with someone of a different faith or belief tradition.
The first program is from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the Northcentral Technical College cafeteria, at 1000 W. Campus Drive, Wausau. People of all beliefs are encouraged to attend.
Attendees are asked to register at wipps.org/events/circles-faith-first-dialogue.
