Washington Seminar 2025 Applications Now Open
The Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service (WIPPS) and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire are thrilled to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 Washington Seminar—a three-week study away program held in Madison and Washington, D.C., led by Universities of Wisconsin faculty.
Running from May 27 to June 14, 2025, this immersive program offers students firsthand exposure to public policy through discussions with executive leaders, lobbyists, and other key policy influencers.
Open to all majors, the program customizes meetings with policy experts to align with each student’s research and career interests. Participants earn three transferable credits through UW-Eau Claire.
Led by faculty from the Universities of Wisconsin system, the Washington Seminar offers a rare, insider’s view of policy-making. Participants gain access to congressional and executive leaders, lobbyists, and other policy experts—making this an excellent opportunity for students considering an internship or career in Washington, D.C.
“This class was 100 percent worth it and I’m glad I had the opportunity to be a part of it. By interacting with members of Congress, I learned how to see past the smoke and glamor of political figures and see them as human beings.” – Deon Canon, UW-Stout
Applications close March 15, 2025, and space is limited! The course fee of $3,350 covers tuition, airfare, housing, a Metro Pass, and one daily meal. Scholarships are available for students with financial need.
