The Washington Seminar to Resume in 2023 – Applications Open

The Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service (WIPPS) and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee are excited to announce that applications are open for the 2023 Washington Seminar, a study away program in Madison and Washington D.C., from May 30 to June 17, 2023.

Students will have the opportunity to meet with state and national legislators, lobbyists, media representatives, executive branch appointees and nonprofit organization leaders. Participants can earn three credits as they enroll in a Public Policy course through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. All majors are welcome and visits with policy influencers are tailored to reflect the research and career interests of students.

The program cost of $3,185 includes airfare, housing, a Metro pass, Potomac cruise, visit to Mt. Vernon, and one meal per day. Scholarships are also available for students with financial need. Applications are due February 15.
