Open Door Outcomes Measurement Project
Open Door contracted with WIPPS to develop and implement a comprehensive Outcomes Measurement Plan (OMP). The OMP has equipped Open Door with a data collection plan to demonstrate community impact, service gaps and outreach opportunities.
Open Door provides critical services to over 2,000 former inmates who are highly at risk upon their release from incarceration. Many are released without adequate clothing, food, hygiene products, not to mention skills necessary to reintegrate into society. In addition to basic necessities, Open Door offers clients Life Skills and Job Readiness Training classes, Making Amends classes, and Partner Project and referral resource services.
The OMP provided Open Door with a data collection plan to demonstrate community impact, service gaps and outreach opportunities. Deliverables included new standard operating procedures to gather data, an understanding of information sources (such as comparing clients served to recidivism rates) and analytical tools that measure program impact.
