On Wednesday and Thursday, January 18 and 19, 2018, the Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service and UW Marathon County will be bringing over 600 7th grade students from John Muir and Horace Mann Middle Schools to the campus.
Students will have the opportunity to experience what college is like by attending mini sessions taught by UWMC instructors, learning about paying for college, and exploring the different types of colleges and majors offered. This type of event will help the students realize what they can do while they are in middle and high school to prepare for their future.
WIPPS, Connexus Association, BA & Esther Greenheck Foundation, and the Wausau Breakfast Optimists are sponsors of this initiative to encourage middle school students to investigate higher educational options.
