Kirk Beattie is a professor of political science at Simmons College in Boston and is an expert in Middle Eastern comparative politics and the relationship between Islam and the West. He has written several books on key political events in the region including Egypt and Tunisia and has studied and researched extensively in multiple languages throughout the Middle East.
