UW System Student Views on Freedom of Speech

This Week: Forbidden Findings Ft. Tim Shiell, April Bleske-Rechek, and Eric Giordano

Webinar will discuss UW Freedom of Speech Survey, obstacles in research, Thurs. March 2 at 3:00 p.m. CST.

Foundation for Individual Rights and ExpressionA WIPPS survey will be the topic of an upcoming webinar hosted by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE), this Thursday, March 2 at 3 p.m. CST. “Forbidden Findings” will feature discussion around a recent survey of University of Wisconsin System student’s perceptions on freedom of speech.

Members of the survey research team will discuss the obstacles and pushback they faced during the administration of the system-wide study.

The webinar will feature Eric Giordano, WIPPS executive director, April Bleske-Rechek, professor of psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Tim Shiell, professor of philosophy and director of UW-Stout’s Menard Center for the Study of Institutions and Innovation (MCSII).
