Kudos to WIPPS Fall Interns!
Building a healthy democracy takes time and energy – the kind of energy that young people seem to have in abundance. During the fall semester, six UW-Marathon County students offered their time and energy in advancing WIPPS programs and activities.
Whether volunteering as an I.T. helper, note-taker or photographer for the 20th Conference on the Small City; updating database files; writing a grant for and implementing an MLK Oxfam Hunger Banquet, or assisting with a number of community projects, WIPPS interns gained valuable experience engaging with the public, leading projects, team building and other marketable skills.
A shout-out to these exceptional students for their hard work!
