Meet the WIPPS team: Nate Zurawski
Tell us a bit about yourself!
I have prior hospitality services professional with experience in business management, organization, and event planning. I recently graduated with interest in pursuing a career in public policy and community engagement.
What do you do at WIPPS?
Assist with research, data analysis, survey completion, and various other tasks.
What’s your favorite thing about working at WIPPS?
Having an opportunity to collaborate with people in the community on controversial topics.
What program/project are you excited about working on in the new year?
I am excited to work on the new pluralism initiative that is focused on building a culture of change with an emphasis on promoting healthy community dialogue.
Do you have any fun hobbies? Anything you’d like to share about yourself? Do you have any pets?
I created a small gaming club around the game, Magic the Gathering. I make wine. I like to kayak and golf in the summer, snowshoe in the winter, and roam around the woods with my dog all year.
What would you like to do after your time at WIPPS?
After my time with WIPPS I hope to continue to be involved with challenging policy issues. Especially in areas where there are opportunities for problem-solving through community engagement.
What are you hoping to learn from your time at WIPPS?
I am hoping to learn about different approaches towards solving complex human problems.
